Personal chef service for busy families who want fresh, thoughtful food at home—without carrying the planning, shopping, and cooking.

What’s for dinner?

I’ve always believed that some of the best parts of life happen around a table.

For most of my life, food has been how I care for people. I raised two daughters, taught hospitality, and eventually turned my love of food and community into The Quirky Carrot, the café I founded and cooked in for many years in Alexandria, Ontario.

I’ve spent much of my life feeding people; in my family, my classroom, my café and my community. Now, from my new home in Hudson, I’m bringing all of that experience into yours.

Because I know what real life looks like.

There are careers and children, early mornings and late meetings, sports bags and laundry piles, friends dropping by, and weeks when everyone seems to need something at exactly the same time.

And still, at approximately 5:17 every afternoon, someone asks:

What are we having for dinner?

That’s where I come in.

I created my personal chef service to take one very big, very recurring thing off your plate—by putting something wonderful on it. I work with a small number of families so I can truly get to know you: how you eat, what you love, what the kids will actually eat, which mornings are chaos, and whether a container of homemade soup in the refrigerator might just save Thursday.

I plan the menus, shop for fresh, seasonal ingredients, and cook in your kitchen. When I leave, your refrigerator is full, your kitchen is clean, and the days ahead feel a little easier.

Not simply so you can eat well.

Your kitchen.
Your family.
Your food.

This isn’t a meal delivery service, and there isn’t a menu of meals to choose from. Your weekly service is built around you.

Your family’s favourites. Your dietary needs. Your schedule. The season. The lunches that need to leave the house at 7 a.m. and the dinners everyone eats at different times. The soup you always want in the refrigerator and the muffins that somehow disappear before Wednesday.

Each week, I create a personalized menu, shop for fresh ingredients, and spend a dedicated Chef Day cooking in your home.

Depending on your household, that might mean breakfasts for busy mornings, lunches ready to take to work, family dinners, soups and salads, snacks, baking, or a little of everything.

Weekly Chef Day: $700 + groceries + applicable taxes

Groceries are billed separately at cost, with no markup.

I work with only a small number of recurring families so the service can remain genuinely personal.

Simple by design.

New families begin with a one-month trial, giving us time to learn each other's rhythms and make sure the service feels right before deciding what comes next.

Let’s make your week easier.

Tell me a little about your household, how you like to eat, and what would make life around the table feel lighter. I’ll be in touch to start the conversation.
